I am against any form of murder, at core - it is part and parcel of being a Jedi. I do not doubt your capabilities, but outside of self-defense, or saving others...

But our task was literally to defend the Republic - we did not have much in terms of possessions, and what costs there were the Republic tended to be happy to handle them.
