(Since she has been made aware of her prior stay, Padmé decides to use her tablet to send out a message. She is pale, but strangely resolved to this new plight. Her hair is ornately braided, but her clothing is plain. She's just happy to have clothes and to be rid of that white gown!)

Greetings, everyone. Some of you might recognize me; I want to speak to you if that is the case.

(The faster she is up to speed, the better.)

For those I am encountering for the first time, hello. I'm Padmé. Some of my family is present and -

I can get to know you. (No, she isn't denying his statement. It's just the truth.) I wanted a big family. If you like, I can tell you about my mother, father and sister - as well as my nieces.

[She says it, and the concept sounds utterly foreign. The family he knew had been small, and full of distance. He isn't certain how much he does want to hear about all these people he's most likely to never meet, but he does want to speak with her more, whether or not it involves her family. He doesn't know how to trust her immediate acceptance, but he does trust his grandfather, and that alone is enough to make him want to know more about her.]

We should find another place to talk. Somewhere in person.

I think I understand. The Jedi have similar ideas, I believe, though I never fully understood them. Being one with the universe sounds amazing.

As far as I've gotten into it, it's not bad, I can tell you that much. [Morgan shrugs. True unity is out of reach of any mortal, he's sure of that -- if his own master hasn't achieved it, no one ever has.] Everyone does some of it. Even something as simple as walking, you had to think about once upon a time. Some of us just embrace the whole 'literally everything' part of it a lot more!

(Everyone is connected; there is a possibility he will meet his extended family someday. But, for now, the first step is him trusting Anakin. It's not an easy thing to trust anyone and she certainly isn't going to demand anything of him.)

I would like that. Where should I go?

Is it peaceful? It seems like it would be. (True unity would be out of the reach of mortals, but if someone could come close? That would be worthwhile.) I may try to think more like you, then, and see where it gets me.

Is it peaceful...? [Morgan tips his head back a bit, wondering how to answer that question. Then he shrugs.]

Peace is what you make of it, you know? Are you more at peace in the middle of a furious diplomatic conflict, or a quiet and friendly gathering that no one actually wants to be at? If you move with the flow, you can't be disturbed, but sometimes you need to redirect or change the flow because you can't move with it and maintain yourself.

[For the moment, Codi lets that part of the discussion go; she needs more time (and information) to decide what a good trade would be, and it sounds like Padmé is willing to oblige.]

Why so? [Codi tilts her head, though this is mostly for show - just as she thought, Vader and Luke are top contenders but can't be on the list. She'd still like Padmé to confirm her suspicions directly.] Alignment problems?

But you will here. Things can be different here.

[Of this he's certain. This place might not be perfect. It has it's own dangers, but it's also giving them priceless opportunities. No matter what else happens, he'll cherish these times for the rest of his life.]

And I'll listen. [An equally soft, warm promise. His cheeks should probably hurt from all this smiling, but he doesn't care.] Same. Won't be making that mistake.

Sorry, it's just... things between us are kind of complicated. But I do know he cares. In his own way.

[Their bonding when loved ones had vanished. The way he'd had to check in on his own Father when he'd made some really Questionable Choices.... it's a mess, but it's still less messy than things would have been back in their own universe.]

A little. They have an innate Force Bond - an incredibly strong one, possibly one of the strongest I've ever seen - but they don't know each other well. Not that it's stopped either of them from caring about the other in the slightest.

They are the same alignment as I am, I believe. (Tian loves Skywalkers. It collects them.) It was my understanding that I need a partner who is tied to Heba?

(This will be difficult no matter what. She would tether with Anakin in a heart-beat, but tethering with anyone else - besides Luke or maybe even Kylo - feels dangerous. There are...jealousy issues.)

He has hurt you and confused you. Ani, you should know... When I came to you on Mustafar, I thought I was alone. I didn't know about Obi-Wan.

(She would have never led someone harmful to him - and she knew, then, that Obi-Wan sought his death.)

They should get to know one another. A bond like that shouldn't be neglected.

I want things to be different. (For all of them. Padmé is barely allowing herself a chance to blink! Seeing Luke, hearing his voice... It's all so good. He and his sister are the sweet forces of good that will save Anakin and the galaxy.)

Then I'll question if you're a Skywalker! (She teases before rubbing over his back. Anakin is...and will always be...complicated.)

Be open with him. He responds best to honesty, though I suppose most people do. (Unless they like being deluded.) I know you are, sweetheart. I just know if he had been there to hold you, to raise you, without Palpatine in the way...

He would have loved you and your sister more than all the stars in the galaxy.

It seems like you are making great sacrifices to stay balanced. (Now she has to ask...) Have you ever allowed yourself to fall in love? Or is that forbidden?

Gosh, I'm super flattered, but I think we should go on a date or two first. [Morgan feigns innocent embarrassment, which doesn't hide the pure mischief in his eyes. Maybe nothing can.]

[Only for a moment though, then he drops the act.] I was very happily married, if only for a short time. She passed away, unfortunately. Wouldn't have traded it for the world though.

I'm at the apartments in Central Command. I'll meet you out front.

(She is dressed plainly, for her, and though her long, abundant, hair is braided neatly, resting against her back, Padmé looks and feels tired. The clothes she wears also don't completely hide that she was recently pregnant. Carrying twins is no mean feat.

But she travels to meet him anyway because she would move the stars for her loved ones. She might be a petite woman, but few can match her determination. He dwarfs her in height - so does Anakin - yet that doesn't stop her from approaching him with a smile.)

I'm sorry, I'm a taken woman. (She isn't buying that innocent embarrassment, mister.) I ask because the Jedi forbade their members from marrying or falling in love.

(However... His answer is sweet.)

I hope you see her again.

I know. I've known. He had me convinced there was...it no longer matters. I should have known.

[ He should have. But Obi-Wan had also explained it and he'd deal with that later. ]

They are trying now. Rey has had a difficult path - they both have.

[He doesn't have far to go, just the distance from his own apartment to the front where he said he'd meet her. He's waiting when she approaches. His own expression is guarded, but there's a clear interest in the way he looks at her, this relative of his that he knows so very little about.]

(She perks up at the unfinished sentence. He had me convinced there was... what?)

(And even being so pregnant she could barely walk or stand wouldn't stop her.)

Then we should help them.

(She understands how strange this must be for him - or, at least, she tries to understand it. She knows so little about him.)

You definitely have Naberrie in you. (A pleasant surprise, really, since Anakin's genes seem to be so strong.) The height you get from Ani.

[ He sees that, but shakes his head before answering quietly. ]

In private. But yes, I was-upset I was devastated. At myself mostly.

[ He's sure that his eyes were red-rimmed and swollen and his face tear-streaked on Mustafar hadn't escaped her. Her's hadn't escaped him. ]

I am trying. But they could use your guidance as well.

I know it can be daunting to search for a Tether among strangers, especially when you already have family here, but the consequences of being imbalanced are very real. You'll need to find someone.
