so I need a job because my shopping addiction is waaaay beyond this stipend thingy
skills include gymnastics, psychiatry, kicking ass and taking names, finding lost things
I figure I could be a great mercenary or bounty hunter or hitwoman but IDK if those things are actual jobs you can get here
dog walker? bartender? I dunno!
any suggestions are welcome!

He doesn't take too much longer, arriving a little after Harley. Simply in long-sleeves, pants and a jacket besides, it probably would have been easy to overlook him in a crowd. He's tapping at his tablet even as he steps out into the lobby.]
now that I've seen some bad batch episodes...
Hey, hey, are you network guy!?
8D
[He glances over, fixing his goggles.]
I'm assuming you're the former psychiatrist-sometimes-bounty-hunter who pulls weapons out of thin air?
now I can officially call him a nerd >)
That's me! Harley Quinn, at your service.
[Striding up to him, she offers a hand for a shake.]
goaghajfaj
Impressive.
[He reaches over to shake her hand, giving her a nod.]
Tech. I'm not quite sure what I was expecting, even given how plainly your ability seems to work.
no subject
Nice t'meetcha, Tech!
[A pause, and she laughs a little.]
Yeah, it's pretty straightforward. Y'wanna see another?
no subject
Certainly. I'd consider a field test on the functionality of these weapons but I doubt the rebels would approve of use of firearms in their command center.
no subject
And Tech's voice and whole look is totally what she'd been expecting from how he typed too.]
Aw, well we could always go to the shootin' range if ya wanted. I don't mind!
[With that, she reaches into thin air beside her, her hand flashing out of apparent existence for a moment, and comes out with a baseball bat, which she twirls fancily in her hands and then offers to Tech.]
See?
no subject
Undoubtedly solid. Hm. The shooting range won't suffice for a rocket launcher but I don't think we'd need to go that far. Lead the way.
[He offers the bat back.]
no subject
Super solid, and I betcha it could do a lot of damage.
[She takes the bat back, and then turns on a heel and starts heading for the shooting range. She's sock footed, but that doesn't bother her too much.]
I think it's this way. You been there?
no subject
Tech nods at Harley as she leads the way.]
Yes. It's a suitable enough place to test the weapons the rebels provide. I prefer to know what to expect of weapons beforehand. Normally I'd have a pair of pistols so making use of a random pair is quite different.
no subject
I haven't been there before, just saw the door to it. I get lotsa target practice in the field, ya know?
[She twirls the bat idly in one hand and then puts it away with a flick of her wrist, then holds the door for him when they get to the shooting range. Skipping over to one of the little stalls, she produces a pair of guns.]
Like this?
no subject
Hm. True, but at least for me, I'd rather know if a gun has a tendency to travel one way or another, or how responsive it is to the trigger. You don't really want to find out such things in the middle of a firefight.
[Tech gives her a nod, stepping inside. There's something about her bounciness that he has to smile about. Okay, maybe there's something just a little disturbing about how simply she can do that and still produce a pair of guns or what have you.
He takes the guns, brows lifting.]
Hm. Slugs or energy-based?
[He aims at the target with both, firing one and then the other.]
no subject
Wow. You got a point there. You're a smart guy, you know that? Oh and they're uh, energy based, I think. You looked like a science type guy who'd like that.
[She watches as he steps into the booth and takes aim at the target, and her eyes widen a little bit more.]
Oh wow, you're a great shot!
no subject
I don't think I do too badly for stationary targets, at least. These are actually quite nice. I do prefer energy-based. Guns with physical rounds seem to have more of a kick.
no subject
[It's somewhat flippant, but she's learned that she can give people weapons and she hasn't heard any complaints about them disappearing or anything.]
Y'know, I've never really checked if I can pull out ammo, I always just go for a new gun. Oh, man, or do those not even need ammo? I've never really used energy weapons.
no subject
Really?
[Well, it's certainly one way to see if they last. They look and operate as normal guns otherwise. Perhaps they could be maintained as such.]
I'm not sure about these specifically, but blaster pistols like my DeeCee-Seventeens would hold fifty shots to a power pack.
no subject
Yep! Go for it!
[Well, if they might run out of power packs or whatever...]
Sounds like now's the time to see if I can get ammo.
[And she digs into the void, searching around, brows furrowed a little bit, only to produce a handful of power packs for the guns.]
Sweet, looks like I can make ammo!
no subject
That is extremely useful. And mind-boggling but I suppose it's not the only thing that doesn't make sense here.
[Tech shrugs and ejects one of the cartridges from a gun, pocketing it so he can pop in one of the newly produced ones into place. He takes several shots with the thing with a faint but satisfied smile.]
Yes, I think they work just fine.
no subject
[She says it with a little bit of wonder, shaking her head a bit.]
Well, it's useful anyway, and it means I won't run outta ammo if I find a gun I really like. Ya know?
[She watches as Tech fires off a few shots with the new ammo cartridges and nods thoughtfully.]
Well, you keep 'em and if you need more ammo you just give me a call. I don't got a lot goin' on so I can get 'em to you fast.
no subject
[Tech tucks the extra cartridges into his side pouch, nodding at Harley as he holsters the guns behind him.]
Thank you. I'll do that. If you need anything fixed or might think of any sort of devices you'd like that might be of use, I can try to put something together. It's the least I can do in return.
