Greetings, everyone. Some of you might recognize me; I want to speak to you if that is the case.

Hm. I think that would largely depend upon the other person. I do not think it would be wise to tether out of desperation, and I have heard that while tethers can be severed, it is not without consequence.

You must be mindful that such bonds open the both of you up to each other on a completely different level. Memories and experiences, emotions, these are things that the other may have to bear, and vice-versa.

Then I will be cautious. (She doesn't want to inflict her emotions on anyone else. That would be wholly unfair.) Thank you for the information. I will do my utmost to think with my head instead of my heart.

(Lest she complicate someone else's life.)

How are supplies? Do we have enough food and drink?

I'm glad to be able to offer it. I know you've always been someone who wants to make things better for others.

Supplies seem to be more than adequate here. The Witches Camp is rather well-established. They are generous in their provisions for those who are willing to join their cause. But we have conducted a few missions to deliver supplies to outlying camps and intercept shipments to Sylphid territories.

I want to keep doing so. (And in order to follow through on that desire, she needs the information he is providing.)

Good. I wouldn't wish starvation on anyone. (She has seen the effects of that too many times.) What about safety? Are there dangerous wildlife? I have heard about the Sylphid and the Troops.

The local wildlife varies. The surrounding woods are rife with creatures both great and small, and while not all of them are dangerous, naturally it's the predators you need to be wary of. I've come across a large sort of feline with plate-like scales, and an even bigger bipedal reptilian type, although that one was in the deeper woods during a transport mission.

The Troop is not a direct threat so long as one does not venture into their midst. I do warn you, even wearing protection does not guarantee you from suffering the hallucinogenic effects of the spores. We've been tasked going there as well, for samples.

Then I must find myself some kind of weapon. (She doesn't like killing, but if her hand is forced...)

That's why we should keep in contact as much as possible. We can help each other remember what is real and what isn't.

Advisable. The Command Center has an armory that they are willing to outfit those who will help the rebels fight against the Sylphid. They have quite the array of weapons, some comparable to what we are familiar with from our galaxy. If you are looking for anything specific, I can keep my eye out at the markets as well.

[Another nod.]

I would not venture out to the Troop alone. Thankfully I was with someone when we were tasked with sample gathering, and they were of great assistance in keeping the effects of the spores at bay.

I am best with a blaster. I have used Anakin's lightsaber in the past, but I'm not nearly as skilled as him with it. (Nor could she ever be. She leaves that to the Jedi.)

Could you keep in contact with those left behind?

[A point he only arches a brow at but nods. After what Vader's since revealed about himself and Padmé, Tech can't really be surprised, and he knows lightsabers otherwise aren't weapons the Jedi just lend to anyone.]

Do you mean outside of the Troop? Presumably, although I hear that some of the more extreme effects can cover even auditory hallucinations. That would make things more difficult to keep track of what's reality and what is not. The worst that can happen is that one can get lost.

(No, lightsabers represent a Jedi's life. Anakin's weapon was never broken or lost in her care for that reason.)

Then we should see to these jobs in groups. Groups that do not stick too close together and are properly armed.

[He'll do his best to try finding something similar to an ELG-3A pistol for her if he can.]

It's a suggestion not very strongly enforced. Generally people are warned to keep their distance because of the dangers and the unknown variables.

(There is no perfect solution to keep everyone safe.)

What do we gain from these risks? Besides another day to live?

There has only been one intentional venture into the Troop for foraging, at least in the time I've been here. So far as I can tell there's nothing to be gained from going there otherwise. They seem to prefer to be left alone. Strange as that sounds, I believe they have some degree of sentience.

Is it safe to leave them to their own devices? What are they planning? For themselves? For us?

[He blinks at that.]

I do not know that they are planning anything. At the moment if they are considered alongside current political temperatures then they are at the moment neutral.

The Sylphid remain our largest concern, being the ones whom have come up with a magitechnology that can span past dimension and time to draw more victims for their own prosperity.

I think it best to watch both races. Opponents can come from unexpected places. (A lesson she has had to learn the hard way.) Of course I am willing to help anyone who finds themselves in our number. We can only depend on each other.

All too true. It would not hurt to be wary even of current circumstances.

[Which is as much as he'll say on the Witches' network openly, but even regarding the rebels who've freed them, they still only know as much as the info they've been directly given.
