[If Hajime looks uncertain, it is both because she's volunteered so quickly and because he is reasonably certain this is the same person who was earlier saying she would kill Link in that post he did not quite grasp the point of and merely lurked in horror.]

Why did you wait this long? Were you trying to test whether or not the warnings were real?

[ It's not even that she blames people for caution but... really??? Tethering doesn't have to be forever, but making yourself ill in the middle of a warzone seemed like a bad idea. ]

I'm sure you won't have trouble finding a correctly-aligned person. There are plenty of Heba-aligned people around here. I'd offer myself in an emergency, but... unless you're honestly at death's door, you wouldn't enjoy it.

[What do people do for fun? He is guessing at other options that have been presented to him in similar circumstances.]

Fair enough. I'm actually fairly close to one right now.

[The camera feed moves a little as Hajime walks outside and points it right at a conveniently-located restaurant.]

Do you know where that is?

There is the briefest hesitation before Hajime walks over to the restaurant and sends Jack his location. Should he go get a table? Wait outside? He doesn't know.

He settles for pacing indecisively just outside, and he'll be doing just that when Jack arrives.

Jack was whistling a shanty when he arrived the designated meeting place. His eyes scanned the area, while momentarily glancing over his communication device's screen. It took him a while before recognizing the face of Hajime, pacing outside the restaurant.

"Ye must be Hajime!," Jack called out, walking over his would be tether-buddy with a wide grin.

"That's me." Relaxed, Hajime is not. He's all but radiating a sense of awkwardness that he's desperately trying to clamp down on. "I'm not used to being around other people as much as this place calls for." He inclines his head towards the door. "Shall we go in?"

[nitashix]

"Aye!," Jack exclaimed, amused at his companion's anxious visage. "And don't ye worry mate! I don't bite!," he grinned, as he led the way towards the restaurant.

[chalicejoker]

"This is still a big ask," Hajime says as he follows Jack inside. "Even if it would be mutually beneficial for both of us."

"Meh!," Jack gestured a dismissive wave with his hand, as marched towards the nearest empty seat. "What ye' say we be fillin' our tummies before we get into any agreement," again, the pirate met Hajime with a wide grin beckoning his companion to take his seat.
