Hi
I'm going to look for our stuff
Tell me what you lost?
[There. Link has successfully managed to Communicate Using The Network. He feels very accomplished.]
[[ooc: Plotting post for this is here. If you want to get involved in helping to retrieve items - or you'd like another character to retrieve something for you - comment there too]]

I don't know
Okay

I'll ride back
[Because Link does realise that he's going to be pretty hard to find out the in jungle, particularly if Booty hasn't done as much exploration of it as he has]

Okay. I'll be by the command center.

Okay
About forty-five minutes later, Link arrives at the command centre, riding on Muffin. He has...absolutely no idea who he is looking for. All he has to go on is 'bootyyyshaker9000'. He's not sure what a 'booty' is. Maybe a special kind of boot? Which someone likes to shake, for some reason?
But the fact that Link is on a horse - and mentioned riding back - might give Donnie a clue that Link is the person he's after.

The turtle teen's loitering about outside of the command center, leaning against wall, arms folded across his chest. He looks up at the sound of...hoofbeats? And half-wonders if the flying, talking horse has made a comeback.
no subject
Link does however, recognise the turtle-person. He's not sure if this is 'Booty', but he seems to be the only person hanging around outside the command centre at the moment, so...maybe?
With a soft kick to Muffin's sides, Link rides closer. "Hi," he says.
no subject
"Talking horse guy?" They hadn't really introduced themselves at the party, had they?
no subject
He looks at the turtle-person. He'd figured that the identifier on the network wasn't an actual name, but...that still left many unanswered questions.
"You like shaking boots?" he asks.

“This is my Slate,” he says then, pulling the device off of his hip. It looks rather like a kind of tablet, if one with a rather unique design.

Any uncertainties instantly dissolve once Link produces his device. The green teenager slips over rather quickly, ninja that he is, fingering his chin.
"Okay, uh-huh, interesting. So how does it...carry stuff?"
no subject
Then he taps on it again, and suddenly an entire spear - one longer then Link is tall - manifests into his hand.
He looks at Donatello. See? It holds things.

"Oh don't tell me, it's more magic than tech."

He'd figured as much. It's no less annoying. "Of course."

But maybe Link is ribbing it in a little. Just a teeny tiny bit.
And since, as far as Link's concerned, all of Donnie's Sheikah Slate related questions have been answered...he doesn't see much reason to stick around. "Bye," he says, before stepping back towards Muffin, and leaping up onto her back.
no subject
"Wh- Hey! That's it?! That doesn't explain anything!!" he sputters.
no subject
Seemed like explanation enough to Link. It carries things. Weight and quantity isn't an issue. "What else would you need to know?"
no subject
"Does it have a size limit? Quantity limit? Is it limited to storing only inorganic material or could it potentially carry living creatures?"
no subject
What he pulls out is a lizard. A living, still wriggling lizard. He keeps a tight grip on it in his palm, as he holds it out towards Donnie.
no subject
"Okay, while I appreciate the visual demonstration over a simple yes or no- you just randomly store lizards in there?!" He's...not really sure where he sits with that bit of info. On the one hand that's one question answered. On the other, it only spawns a dozen more.
"So somehow it can breathe, suggesting that either there is a physical space they are stored or alternatively, possibly placed in some form of stasis until brought out." Donnie eyes Link. "Do I even want to know how many of those you have in there?"
no subject
"Probably stasis," he says, with a shrug. Not that Link really knew for sure, but the slate had the Stasis rune, and it was maybe similar to Link's own time in the Shrine of Resurrection. He didn't change much while he was in there either. The Slate having a kind of stasis made sense, at least to him.
"Food stays hot," he adds, because that always seems relevant.
