( It's been about a week since she was rescued and brought to the camp. The first mission hasn't happened yet but there is chatter about it coming up. The adults seem busy and stressed, and Leia is bored except for finding new ways to use her budding Heba power of Robotics Mastery. However, she feels limited in growing her skill by practice and application without a proper supply flow and, importantly, tools and a workshop. Sure, there is an armory and related things at the camp, but someone almost always shoes her away, and she wants her own place to focus and do what she wants. The precocious ten year old also thinks she is full of great ideas, and will happily tell you that herself.

The feed shows her in her room. Her hair is cleaned and done up the way she likes it again, braided like a crown on her head. She is wearing a flowing white blouse, pushed up at the arms, with a thick leather belt around her waist - sadly, she hasn't found Lola or Tala's holster she was given by Obi-Wan back home, so the belt is more a fashion accessory. Leia also has on loose emerald pants that cling closer to the leg at the bottom, tucked into brown - also leather - boots that she doesn't love but work for now.

Her room looks almost completely empty and unused despite having been at the camp a week (she been staying with Obi-Wan, mostly, and finding excuses to have sleepovers with nice people), except for some tools she stole acquired and a growing heap of mechanical scraps, wires, electronic bits, and generally related doodads and whatchamacallits. She looks very pleased with herself.

Hi everyone. It's Leia again. So, I have a question. Well...I guess it's also a request. I want to make a droid shop out of my room, so I can build and repair things and help people! But I need help turning my room into a workshop, and I need a LOT more supplies. I wanted to know if anyone would help me so I can help everyone else too!

( she move the camera around to show the full scope of the room. hers is standard like the rest of the apartments at the camp rescues were given, but one of the smaller one bedrooms because she is tiny, alone, and a child.

the furniture would mostly have to go, but there was a bathroom, which was nice, and the kitchenette connected plumbing and enabled some use for that, probably.

there would be a lot of work to do [and details to ask mod about, tbh] but 'give up' was not ever a consideration in leia's book )

We could always make it somewhere else, I guess. I just thought it would be good to make something useful out of this room and have a place I can come to and stay in the camp when I'm not staying in ...Ben's cabin.

It wouldn't make sense having two places. My room's a little bigger. Besides, if you clear everything out where will you sleep?

I'm staying with Ben! And sometimes I have sleepovers with other nice people I met here.

He has a cabin out in the jungle kind of near camp. And besides, if we clear yours out, where will you sleep?

I've slept in worse conditions.

( she can keep a cot or the couch and still have the workshop here. which she'd absolutely do regardless of this kid )

And I like being close to my work.

Hmm, OK. Maybe someone else we save can have this room later. I'll keep it for now in case Ben gets too bossy or forgets to bathe.

Ben is my friend, from home! He's old but nice. We went on an adventure together and he saved me and then we saved a bunch of people and he took me back to my home planet.

And now we're both here. At least we keep getting lost together.

It must be helpful to have someone you trust here. There's someone from my 'home' here but we didn't know each other then.

It is! Although he seems more worried than usual. I think he's keeping secrets again.

Can I show you the droid I've been working on since the night I got here? I've been able to add to him and upgrade a lot in the last week. He can scan things and sync with the comm device they gave us when we got here, for now. Well, mine anyways.

His name is Meebo.

( she is already taking the camera over to find meebo vibing by the window, watching a bird.

meebo looks a lot like this, but not exactly, because that is actually a canon droid from the franchise named bd-1 but also because he is a little smaller and doesn't have feet yet and also can't do like, 90% of what bd-1 can do yet )

( pretty quick make for someone who didn't really know much before. prodigy or did she really have a superpower?

though that scanner would certainly be useful considering she'd been building something like it, though not as a droid )

Yes. I missed my droid friend Lola from home and no one will let me out of the camp to do anything fun and the grown-ups still won’t let me have a blaster. So. This is all I’ve really been doing besides climbing trees and meeting new people when they show up.

( well, general camp vicinity, anyways.

she’d watched people work on them whenever she could and voraciously read about things at home, but princesses weren’t, apparently, supposed to be covered in dirt and grease or be absolutely incessant tomboys 24/7.

and she’d been the only one who could wiggle in and get the mechanism to open the hanger door for her and the refugees to escape in a starship while obi-wan went to negotiate and then fight a big army the empire sent. she knew more than she was letting on but certainly nothing like this before.

the power is enabling her to immediately put to use what she had read and will allow her to learn anything she’s shown and taught very quickly, as well as communicate fluently in droid binary-speech and not just the ones she was familiar with.

You'll have to bring him over. I wouldn't mind seeing how he worked.

( to see how this child had managed to build the droid, to see what she could learn from it in terms of it being a very different way of building. who knows )
