( It's been about a week since she was rescued and brought to the camp. The first mission hasn't happened yet but there is chatter about it coming up. The adults seem busy and stressed, and Leia is bored except for finding new ways to use her budding Heba power of Robotics Mastery. However, she feels limited in growing her skill by practice and application without a proper supply flow and, importantly, tools and a workshop. Sure, there is an armory and related things at the camp, but someone almost always shoes her away, and she wants her own place to focus and do what she wants. The precocious ten year old also thinks she is full of great ideas, and will happily tell you that herself.

The feed shows her in her room. Her hair is cleaned and done up the way she likes it again, braided like a crown on her head. She is wearing a flowing white blouse, pushed up at the arms, with a thick leather belt around her waist - sadly, she hasn't found Lola or Tala's holster she was given by Obi-Wan back home, so the belt is more a fashion accessory. Leia also has on loose emerald pants that cling closer to the leg at the bottom, tucked into brown - also leather - boots that she doesn't love but work for now.

Her room looks almost completely empty and unused despite having been at the camp a week (she been staying with Obi-Wan, mostly, and finding excuses to have sleepovers with nice people), except for some tools she stole acquired and a growing heap of mechanical scraps, wires, electronic bits, and generally related doodads and whatchamacallits. She looks very pleased with herself.

Hi everyone. It's Leia again. So, I have a question. Well...I guess it's also a request. I want to make a droid shop out of my room, so I can build and repair things and help people! But I need help turning my room into a workshop, and I need a LOT more supplies. I wanted to know if anyone would help me so I can help everyone else too!

[He hesitates a second, before stepping into the conversation. He's not sure that using the privacy setting will really do anything, but it might keep other people from their galaxy from being even more curious. So he sets his message to locked to the three of them. ]

I know Ben, too. We're...sort of extended family. [That part is said a little hesitantly, because he's not sure Obi-wan would agree with that word, exactly. The next part however, is firm.]

So I can vouch him. She's not wrong that her father and Ben are friends. He's looked after me, and he'd look after Leia.

[Oh, Jim knows this guy. From the day they arrived.]

Oh, you know him too? That's cool then, we're good.

Just checking in that she hadn't ended up with someone who had bad intentions.

Oh, I totally get it.

[Heck, he'd had people with bad intentions make advantage of him, and he's had literal nightmares about Maul, or one of the Emperor's minion finding him when he was Leia's age or so.]

I'd be alarmed, too, if I didn't know Ben. But like, the first time we met back home, I was doing extremely dumb shit in the middle of the wilderness, and I nearly died. He found me, made sure I was ok, gave me a gentle talking to, and gave me a way back to that adopted family I told you about.

He's a good guy.

( she wondered why they still needed to be so secretive about his name then, but shrugged it off

I have a couple of questions, though. Wanna take a walk?

I'd love to go for a walk! I wanted to ask you questions to so that's perfect. Where should I meet you?

[Rebel habits, Leia. He may calm down about it, eventually.]

Hmm, the outer gate of the compound? We can head out towards Ben's place?

Sure! I'll meet you there. I'm staying with Ben anyways so you can walk me back and we can share stories!

( she contacts ben on the comm device for permission because he told her to ask first and goes to meet ezra )

He's there waiting, by the time she gets there, armc crossed, but casually, not out of impatience.

He flashes her a warm smile, before going a little more serious.

"So. I think it's ok for everyone to know we know each and some stuff like that. But I'm not sure about who could be listening on the network," he explains, quietly.

She moved nimbly and surprisingly fast for someone under four feet tall with little legs. She was also excited for any excuse to go outside and feel safer having someone with her.

Plus, Ezra seemed nice and they were from the same world, though she didn’t know it wasn’t the same time yet. She nodded at his words.

“That makes sense. You remind me of Ben like that. He’s very careful because people don’t seem to like Jedis very much.”

Ezra double checked that there was no one obviously nearby and then ducked to a kneeling crouch, so he can talk very quietly.

"Yeah. The Empire hunts Jedi and other force-sensitives. And Rebels, of course. I'm just trying to keep us safe."

Her eyes get big. "Yeah, I saw that when I was with Ob-Ben. We met an Inquisitor called Third Sister. I'm glad we have you to help keep people safe."

She thinks.

"What does Force sensitive mean?"

[ezra_of_lothal]

He pressed his lips together. "I'm sorry you ran into an Inquisitor. That was back home? They usually seem to like to hurt people. And I do know Ben's full name."

As for her question. He paused, trying to figure how to answer. "Do you know anything about the Force?"

She looked apologetic. “I know, but I’m trying to get better at not accidentally letting it slip. Just to keep him safe.”

Obviously it was her keeping him safe. For sure. No doubt.

“I think the Inquisitor was scared. She didn’t seem like the others…even if she did try to kill me.”

A thought, “Well… I know Ben said it’s like when you turn a light on in the dark and feel safe. And that Some people can use it but not most people. Do you think I could ever use the Force?”

[ezra_of_lothal]

"I suspect all the Inquisitors are scared, deep down," Ezra said, very gently. "But if she wasn't liking hurting people, that's good. Maybe she'll figure out doing things like trying to kill you won't make her less scared, and she'll stop."

Then he smiled. "Like a light. That's true." He climbed to his feet. "Come on, let's walk, and we can talk more about the Force in private, ok?"

Leia was pretty sure something bad had happened to the Inquisitor. Or at the very least, that she got fired.

She nodded agreeably at the suggestion and admired the jungle around them while they walked further away from the camp, little legs doing their best to keep up. “How long have you known Ben?”

"Oh, well, that one's tricky," Ezra admitted, as he kept his pace leisurely.

"You know how some of the people here come from places where everything seem to work really differently?"

She nodded at Ezra’s question, stopping to pick up a nice stick to swish around in the air lightly as they walked.

“…Yes. I’ve met people from different worlds and different times. And some of them know each other too.”

Even though she was still confused about the time part. But still.

[A small smile crosses his face as he listens. Seems like she's in good hands.]

He sounds like a good guy. I'm glad you guys have him looking out for you.

I suspect he might like a little more quiet time out in the jungle. But, yeah, I'm glad he's around, too.

Yeah.

If Ben's gonna be like, her guardian, seems like we should get me bit more on the same page, is what I'm thinking.

I think you're right, especially if you guys all know each other in some kind of way. It's a lot more than what some people have here.

[Even vague knowledge of another's existence makes it worth sticking to them here, such is the case with him and B'Elanna.]
