so I need a job because my shopping addiction is waaaay beyond this stipend thingy

skills include gymnastics, psychiatry, kicking ass and taking names, finding lost things

I figure I could be a great mercenary or bounty hunter or hitwoman but IDK if those things are actual jobs you can get here

dog walker? bartender? I dunno!

Well, you'll certainly be handy to have around if we ever find ourselves without firearms.

That sounds rather extreme. Definitely not any better than having a chip in your head "programming" you to follow orders.

I got no idea, I haven't done much reading since I got here

people keep telling me that, and I gotta say I agree. I already kitted out some little guy with a spear and a hammer thing. it was funny because he showed me a picture and I pulled one out even though I never saw one like that before

[Harley shows up at the lobby a few minutes later, dressed in a onesie with the hood up, having not bothered to change out of her pajamas. She glances around, realizing she should probably have asked for a picture or description of this guy...]

[A minor oversight. Tech isn't too worried as he doubts there are many people just hanging out in the lobby looking like they're waiting for someone.

He doesn't take too much longer, arriving a little after Harley. Simply in long-sleeves, pants and a jacket besides, it probably would have been easy to overlook him in a crowd. He's tapping at his tablet even as he steps out into the lobby.]

[The guy who's tapping on a tablet seems like a likely candidate for a nerdy dude who wants to study someone's power, so Harley stands up straight and waves at him, grinning, then jogging over.]

[He glances over, fixing his goggles.]

I'm assuming you're the former psychiatrist-sometimes-bounty-hunter who pulls weapons out of thin air?

[Producing a rocket launcher from thin air, she grins a wicked grin at him, then puts it away.]

That's me! Harley Quinn, at your service.

[Striding up to him, she offers a hand for a shake.]

[Reading about someone saying they can do such a thing is definitely no comparison to seeing it in action. The clone's brows lift behind his goggles.]

[He reaches over to shake her hand, giving her a nod.]

Tech. I'm not quite sure what I was expecting, even given how plainly your ability seems to work.

[She brightens immediately upon being called impressive, even if it's just because of her ability, and shakes his hand back. Her grip is firm and she shakes very enthusiastically.]

Nice t'meetcha, Tech!

[A pause, and she laughs a little.]

Yeah, it's pretty straightforward. Y'wanna see another?

[He'd have to admit even her list of experiences is an impressive mix. While he had no idea how she sounded, it's easy to see that he way of typing and speaking reflect each other for... perkiness. Yes, that's probably the best word for it.]

Certainly. I'd consider a field test on the functionality of these weapons but I doubt the rebels would approve of use of firearms in their command center.

[She would be very pleased to know she was impressive on her own merits. She's used to being written off, either by Joker as being inferior, or by other people for being in Joker's shadow.

And Tech's voice and whole look is totally what she'd been expecting from how he typed too.]

Aw, well we could always go to the shootin' range if ya wanted. I don't mind!

[With that, she reaches into thin air beside her, her hand flashing out of apparent existence for a moment, and comes out with a baseball bat, which she twirls fancily in her hands and then offers to Tech.]

[A bat is definitely not a normal weapon of choice, and while the design is a foreign one to him, it's not difficult to figure out what it is. Tech blinks at it before taking it in hand, looking completely unused to wielding such a thing. He hefts it in testing the weight.]

Undoubtedly solid. Hm. The shooting range won't suffice for a rocket launcher but I don't think we'd need to go that far. Lead the way.

[He offers the bat back.]

[It's a normal weapon of choice as far as she's concerned, because it's one of her favourites. It suits him too, though, she thinks, and she can't help but grin a little as he tests it out, the weight and balance.]

Super solid, and I betcha it could do a lot of damage.

[She takes the bat back, and then turns on a heel and starts heading for the shooting range. She's sock footed, but that doesn't bother her too much.]

[People here have strange tastes in what they obviously consider comfortable clothing, but then again, perhaps he's the strange one for thinking it feels weird not being in full armor day in and out.

Tech nods at Harley as she leads the way.]

Yes. It's a suitable enough place to test the weapons the rebels provide. I prefer to know what to expect of weapons beforehand. Normally I'd have a pair of pistols so making use of a random pair is quite different.

[A onesie and fluffy socks is probably weird for most people, at least in public. The onesie is even bunny themed, with a little cotton-tail attached to the butt that waggles as she walks down the hallway toward the shooting range, and it becomes apparent that there are also a pair of bunny ears attached to the hood that dangle down her back.]

I haven't been there before, just saw the door to it. I get lotsa target practice in the field, ya know?

[She twirls the bat idly in one hand and then puts it away with a flick of her wrist, then holds the door for him when they get to the shooting range. Skipping over to one of the little stalls, she produces a pair of guns.]
